I am a 6th grade language arts teacher and Future Eductors of America advisor at a Title I school who would love to constantly expose my students to new experiences. Everyday, about 125 students walk in and out of my room. I currently teach 50 Advanced students, 50 ELL students(English Language Learners), and 25 regular students. I am always challenging students to be as creative and innovative as possible. This is a difficult task to do when they lack exposure to certain materials. Many students do not have access to the latest technology at home; I try to offer it to them in my classroom. Pencils, crayons, and paper were once the latest technology. This has changed. The latest technology includes tablets, die cut machines such as the Cricut, and cameras to film journals and create digital writing projects. Using the latest technology will help students become career ready and more successful in the future.
