The use of technology is a daily occurrence in my classroom. Technology is used to complete classroom assignments, homework, reading centers, IReady, and students take reading assessments using Accelerated Reader. The technology allows me to see exactly what students are doing, it shows me what skills students are proficient in, or where students are still struggling. It helps me to monitor student growth and make adjustments to my instructions to ensure student success. By having these 15 tablets, students will be able to focus more on learning and not have to focus on pencils breaking in the middle of an assessment, if seating is available at the three school computers we have in our classroom, and they won’t have to concern themselves with losing assessments as the tablet allows students to submit assignments/assessments upon completion. By donating to our project, you will help improve student academic achievement, and students will be afforded the opportunity to focus on what’s truly important: academic success! The more students immerse themselves in learning through technology, the more adept they will become with the content and learning. In this technological world we live in today, any interaction that students have with technology will increase reading levels and comprehension.
