I am in my first year of teaching at a Title I Elementary School. 85% of my students are English Language Learners. There is a wide range of academic and reading levels in my classroom. I do not have many resources to effectively provide language-based center activities for my English Language Learners. I also would like to expand my classroom library. I would like my students to have a variety of characters, themes, fiction, nonfiction, and multicultural texts to choose from in our library. The students will be able to describe pictures, read words, or partner read with new books.
My students need a variety of language-based activities and books to build reading and writing skills.
These materials will positively impact my students academic experience. A tremendous amount of learning is achieved during Kindergarten. I would love to give my students the most language-rich activities and experiences before the end of the school year.
