I'm a fifth year art teacher excited to begin a new year at Grout Elementary School. We are starting up a new art room from scratch, and beginning a program that will hopefully sustain in the school for a long time to come. I am passionate about getting my students everything they need to become empowered as artists and observers, and activists in a changing world. I believe in the impact of a well-designed space, innovative materials, and learning through close observation. Students are capable of showing their learning needs when we listen, and of teaching one another when given the chance. I am happy to support the many cultural backgrounds and artistic explorations of our school, and get to know all of my students to support their learning needs.
