My school is located on the Southwest side of Fort Worth, TX. We are a campus that is 1:1 with Apple MacBooks. My freshmen Algebra 1 students come to me not having very much confidence or love of math. We dive into the world of Algebra and learn by doing many different types of activities. My students love the digital activities we complete because they get the immediate feedback they want and need. By the end of the year, my students have learned so much more than Algebra. They become leaders and mentors providing help to others that need help, they become critical thinkers, and they become a supportive community. They learn, if not to love math a bit more, but to have an appreciation for it and the knowledge of how to ask for help.
