Hello! I am a third year teacher at an urban high school in Richmond, VA. The school is designated as Title 1, 100% of students are on free & reduced breakfast and lunch, and more than a third of our population is Exceptional Education designated. I completed my internship at this school, loved the faculty & students so much that I seized the opportunity to stay. It is my mission to bring dynamic activities, projects, and after-school opportunities to my disadvantaged students. We are focused on Inquiry based, project based, and active learning. Additionally, I strive to make my classroom feel like home for students; often, they stay with me for lunch or after-school activities. We're building a family in 202. Thank you for taking time to investigate who I am and what I stand for. I dedicate my life to teaching and learning. When my students ask, "How many kids do you have?" I say, "110" every time.
