With these materials, students will be able to have hands on experience using block printing materials to create unique, collaborative collages. In response to observing textures within their surroundings, students will work collaboratively to create mono prints. After they create the mono prints, students will cut up the prints into quarters and exchange portions of their prints with their classmates.
Once each student has at least 6 different colors and "texture" pattern prints, they will use scissors to cut geometric and organic shapes and arrange/glue them to create a contemporary composition. In then end, students will have a composition that is unique, inspired by their surrounding, and made collaboratively with their classmates.
About my class
