My students use Chromebooks on a daily basis to do research, create projects, and write essays. The in-class writing time is valuable in order for them to receive help as necessary. Currently I have between 27 and 31 students in my classes, and I only have 23 working Chromebook computers. Students need to share computers, which makes writing essays difficult. Additionally, many of my students cannot afford a computer at home, and/or live in rural areas without WiFi, and therefore they are not able to work on assignments outside of school. Because of this, they really depend on the time in class to be able to write.
