My students love learning while sitting on the carpet. They want to be able to practice problems on a whiteboard, as I do on the front board. A personal whiteboard is an amazing tool because it allows for immediate feedback and assessment. Students can be actively engaged in their learning and mistakes can be easily erased and fixed! My students also enjoy frequently moving to different parts of the classroom to learn. Doing worksheets on a clipboards enables more opportunities for flexible seating and partner work. These WHITEBOARD-CLIPBOARDS will allow my students to practice on the whiteboard side and then flip the board over to write their final answer on a worksheet! Whiteboard Clipboards will open the door to more active and engaging learning opportunities!
By donating to this project, you will be supporting my students to develop their phonemic awareness, which is a critical skill to becoming a proficient reader! The phonics phones are an awesome way for students to hear themselves read aloud. Students can work on self-correcting specific letter sounds during isolated phonics lessons. Students can also use these phones to practice re-reading a text aloud during centers without being distracted by other activities in the classroom!
The other materials in this project will help my first-year classroom become a more active and differentiated learning environment. It is important to provide students with different learning modalities and to determine the best way for each person to learn. The confetti themed decor will support my vision of a welcoming, bright classroom with the overarching theme "Throw Kindness Around Like Confetti."
