My curious first graders attend a Title 1 school. My school is a community, a family, where students not only learn academics. They learn character traits they can use for a lifetime. We believe in the scholarship of lifelong learning to promote future generations of leaders. My third graders are fun-loving, whole-brain learning students with a natural desire to investigate the world around them. I encourage their learning with tools in the classroom and also the mountainous area in which they live. This school is located in a rural town in the Appalachian Mountains. We're so rural we don't have a single traffic light, and we love it!
