Early childhood education is the best way to prepare students to learn and teach them to love learning. I teach my four-year-olds the school readiness skills that they will need to be successful in kindergarten and beyond, but we also focus on other skills such as making friends and problem solving that will probably not be explicitly taught in later grades. I teach a group of 16 students at a rural, Title I P-12 school.
This year I have a fun, energetic group that is always ready to learn.
They love to dance, retell stories, and they enjoy dramatic play. My pre-K class is the first school experience for most of my students. We learn a lot and have a lot of fun along the way!
