Many of my students don't fit into my desks that were made for elementary school children. Some of my high school students are over 6 feet tall, and easily weigh over 250 pounds. Having to squeeze into pre-made desks every day causes stress. A bean bag corner is a fun alternative to pre-made student desks.
A bean bag corner will make my students feel more comfortable so they can focus on their success. Alternative seating offers choice and dignity so students don't feel stigmatized by a chair. Comfortable seating facilitates collaboration, creative ideas and higher levels of thinking.
