My students have access to iPads and there are so many great resources out there for reading and math growth! I would love for them to continue to learn with their iPads in a more sound manner - with headphones. Headphones will model proper reading fluency for my students who are working on their foundational reading skills and help individualize and teach math concepts while my students are on their iPads. I have noticed that without headphones it's difficult for my students to focus and they often get discouraged.
My students LOVE to work collaboratively during our language arts and math centers in the different spaces I have in the room. Whenever they want to work together on the carpet or around our room they have to grab a book to write with since we don't have access to clipboards. They have found that it's so messy writing on a carpeted area without a hard surface. I would love to get some clipboards for my students to keep working how makes sense to them but more effectively.
Beanbag chairs will also help my students collaborate and work more comfortably. We currently have benches, tables, desks, and the carpet in my room but I would love for my students to be able to collaborate and work from the comfort of bean bag chairs.
