For the past 10 years I have worked with some fantastic fourth and fifth graders! Their eagerness and enthusiasm are just two of the many reasons I look forward to teaching them every day. My school is 91% low income and 67% English as a Second Language. My students face hardships and adversities every day that many young children are lucky enough to never experience. Many come to school with empty stomachs and tired eyes, but amazingly still have the hunger to learn. My classroom consists of students of varying abilities, ethnicities, languages and interests who work together and make substantial progress throughout the year.
