Our school is a high needs school located in an inner city area. Ninety-nine percent of my students are Hispanic and receive reduced or free lunch. The students LOVE being read to. We have story time, because it's essential that they hear correct modeling of the English Language, since most of their families do not speak English. This time in their lives is very critical. They need to be exposed to literature. This is my first year teaching, and I don't have as many resources as more seasoned teachers.
