With about forty teenagers in a small classroom, flexible grouping takes up too much space and time for rearranging seats. This project is a request for two tables and 4 stools to redesign a math classroom without desks.
Replacing uncomfortable desks with tables will greatly improve my students' group work.
Groups will be clearly defined, sharing supplies will be simplified, and students will be able to help one another by sharing their problem-solving ideas. Working in groups also helps students prepare for college and careers where teamwork is an important skill. Table teams will help my students by making our classroom more comfortable and collaborative.
