Hello Everyone!
I am a public school special education teacher who works with residential (hospitalized) special needs students. A few years ago, I introduced music appreciation and instrumental music to the students that I serve in the local hospital setting that I work in. I purchased several instruments, and donated a few of the items that I had in my personal collection. However, I do not have enough instruments for each child to use. I also work with the students over the holidays and breaks that we have on a voluntary basis, receiving no compensation. Students learn the basics of music composition, and music appreciation. Students also receive music lessons on the following instruments: piano, percussion, and guitar. Since introducing this program into my classroom, student behaviors have improved dramatically! I would like to purchase a few more instruments for the students to use in the classroom.
