I have 46 bright eyed, persistent, kind, funny, eager students who are growing up in a high need, predominantly Latino community. Every day they walk into my classroom ready to learn, knowing that they can be whatever they want to be when they grow up if they work hard and put their mind to it. We are the only general education Preschool classroom in a fairly large elementary school. Some may try to dismiss our classroom as a daycare, where the students play all day, however what they do not know is that my students work as hard as they can. Every day we work on learning our letters, numbers, colors, shapes, math skills, and social emotional skills. We work to ensure that students leave Preschool "big, strong, and ready for Kindergarten" in all ways possible. Our families are given the opportunity to begin their child's education journey early on, something that will definitely help level the playing field and start Kindergarten prepared and ready to succeed.

About my class
