There has been a shift toward adding technology in the classroom over the last few years and it has been catching on like wildfire. As a history teacher, there are many primary and secondary sources that can be available in bulk for my students by giving them access to tablets that can be used.
Being technologically literate is essential for my students now and in the future. As they're in my classroom, I want to teach them how to use the resources they have available and how to create something from the knowledge they have acquired. Memorizing dates and facts in the history classroom are a thing of the past. Having technology is one way to assist my students in becoming technologically literate critical thinkers.
