I teach diverse learners in 2nd - 5th grade at a neighborhood school on the southeast side of Chicago. They have varying abilities - as most groups of people tend to have - and are eager to learn as much as they can!
My kids come from mostly low-income households, but income is not indicative of potential so while we not always have the materials we need, my students are just as capable as students in middle class homes. They are bright, funny, talented and ready to conquer the world.
