I teach 10th-12th Grade in a NYC title public school to a wide range of students. Our school has a culturally rich population with classrooms filled with children at varying degrees of educational levels. I teach a CTE NA program where the students learn how to care for individuals that are unable to perform everyday activities. These students learn how to take vitals signs and provide care to elderly individuals living in a long term nursing facility. At the end of their senior year, they are eligible to take a certification exam and when they pass they are able to join the workforce as a CNA right out fo high school.
