The majority of my students do not have access to an iPad or computer at home. Having this new iPad and the Osmo system would merge the power of physical play with the digital advantage of real-time feedback. Students would break down problems in to smaller parts, identify key information, and propose solutions through the use of this technology.
The coding program with Osmo introduces foundational skills and teaches programming through exploring functions and decomposed parts, detecting patterns, and creating algorithms. What these students can create will amaze you! Integrate in this STEM activity is "if, then" thinking, as well as highlighting cause and effect.
The iPad and Osmo system and games would further enable my students to collaborate with peers, teams, and individual within our communities, homes, and in a global society.
