Studies show that integrating technology in the classroom increases motivation, student engagement, and learning. This is especially critical within my student population. I plan to use these iPads in multiple ways, and for multiple subjects in my classroom. I will use them as a learning center, as well as for individual interventions with students who need additional support. There are thousands of apps in the Apple Store that provide students with endless interactive learning opportunities. These are only a few examples. Reading and Writing: Creating digital class books, practicing letter formation and building fine motor control, letter sounds, rhyming games, listening to and reading books, building words, and more. Math: Number formation, counting practice, simple addition and subtraction, matching games, and more. Technology is a part of our every day lives. I want to provide all students with the opportunity to experience the iPads in a way that not only enhances their learning, but prepares them for the digital world.
