I became an educator to provide an equitable and supportive experience for learners. My desire reaches beyond academics and includes social-emotional learning. I am asking for donations to make sure my students have the same access and opportunities in their learning environment.
Our classroom is a garden and every morning my students start off their day reciting the following affirmations: "Great minds bloom here. I will water myself and make sure I am nourished. I will admire the flowers of others, and appreciate my own. I leave seeds behind wherever I go, so I will always plant my best. I am an essential part of this garden and ecosystem. I will bloom where I am planted".
