My students are sixth graders at a predominantly African American middle school in Missouri. Most of my students are just barely at or below their grade level in reading. It is so important for struggling or reluctant readers to have books that are Just Right for them, and I am working hard to provide that for them. They are determined to increase their reading skills and, in turn, find books that encourage them to be life long readers. One of our school's main goals is to increase our students' reading scores by 70 points. We are constantly striving to think of new and creative ways to engage, interest, and teach our wonderful students. I love my students, and my deepest wish is to see them succeed- not only in sixth grade, but in life after school. Thanks for supporting our dreams!
