I teach first grade at a Title 1 school in South Florida. My students absolutely love learning and they love to work independently. In order for them to be successful as independent learners, I need to have a lot of fun, engaging activities for them to choose from. Since we are a Title 1 school, many students come from poverty-level households and therefore cannot bring all the supplies needed to be successful independent learners.
