Math tends to be the class that students with anxiety or ADHD struggle in, especially on those days when you just have to have a more teacher-led lesson. I want to help increase engagement and reduce the stigma of math being intimidating by offering my students flexible seating and the ability to be more mobile in their seats. I currently have a couch, a bean bag, and some traditional desks in my classroom, but I want to add more options for them to choose from. I hope that through a more flexible seating arrangement, students will look forward to coming to my classroom, will feel more comfortable in their environment, and will be more engaged in all types of lessons.

About my class
