Math tends to be the class that students with anxiety or ADHD struggle in, especially on those days when you just have to have a more teacher-led lesson.
I want to help increase engagement and reduce the stigma of math being intimidating by offering my students flexible seating and the ability to be more mobile in their seats.
I currently have a couch, a bean bag, and some traditional desks in my classroom, but I want to add more options for them to choose from. I hope that through a more flexible seating arrangement, students will look forward to coming to my classroom, will feel more comfortable in their environment, and will be more engaged in all types of lessons.
