By creating a modern, outstanding young adult library, I hope to create lifelong readers. I chose books that both appeal to teens and adults such as An Ember in the Ashes, This is Where it Ends, and Boy21. Some books are part of a series, as well.
Let's get kids reading GOOD BOOKS instead of spending hours at a time on their phones. If I can get the right book into a student's hand, he or she may end up discovering a love for reading. I added books that my students constantly asked for last year including The Cabin, Turtles All the Way Down, Cinder, and The Beginning of Everything. I also added a Kindle e-reader that can hold MANY books, since my e-book collection is extensive and contains mostly young adult titles (and ones we don't have, we can download for free from the local library).
