Our school is a Title 1 school with 92% free or reduced lunch, which means that we're in a low income neighborhood. My students bring such great personalities, ideas, knowledge into the classroom, and they love being able to share their thoughts and passions with their peers. In the classroom, I encourage them to be inquisitive and to explore their ideas. I try to provide and teach my students with various learning tools, strategies, and resources, so I can meet my students' learning needs and so they can take ownership of their learning. I want my students to develop a stronger self-confidence, have opportunities and experiences in the classroom that pushes their thinking, and to take that knowledge and confidence out into the world.
