I am in need to create a calm and welcoming environment to meet the sensory and academic needs of my students with special needs. When they are not in their general ed classroom, they will be in their home base addressing more specific individualized goals. We are so lucky to have a large classroom to work in daily and now it's time to create a space that makes learning objectives more clear and direct.
Using flexible seating and room dividers for students with special needs allows them to learn in whatever way benefits their specific needs at any given time. Using the panels to make clear room divisions for centers or specific areas will allow them to navigate and understand the room and their expectations more clearly. We want to create learning experiences for all.
