These materials will make a difference in my special needs students' learning by allowing them to write out the problems in front of them, share it with their table group, and immediately correct their mistakes. The mini-whiteboards and markers will also allow the students to share their answers by allowing them to raise the whiteboards instead of having to blurt an answer out loud or for shy students to share an answer without having to speak. It's a way to provide scaffolding in participation for students with exceptionalities. Furthermore, if all of the students having the same calculator, I can teach the students a step-by-step method to calculate equations. A calculator can be an effective mathematical tool if it is used properly and knowing how to use a calculator properly will help my special needs students in their future general math classes as well as a life skill.
