My classroom is a safe haven for my students. As a special educator, I find the utmost importance in making my students feel welcome, comfortable, and important in my room. Why? Imagine that every classroom you walk in, you already know that you are going to struggle. Math and Reading will most likely be harder for you than ANY other student, and that doesn't even begin to mention any attention difficulties that you face. In my classroom, I strive to show my students that learning is fun, engaging, and IMPORTANT! I do this by providing hands-on learning that sometimes my students don't even realize is work!
My classroom is a place where my students know that they are important, special, and most importantly CARED FOR! They know that Ms. Moore will do whatever she can to make the classroom a place where her students want to be. As of now, my room still needs more flexible seating and supplies to fulfill this goal.
