Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is an elective class that prepares students for college readiness and success. Each week, students receive instruction utilizing a college-preparatory curriculum, tutor-facilitated study groups, and motivational activities. Students participate and engage in activities centered around college and career opportunities, and refine their academic success skills such as collaboration, organization, test-taking, note-taking, and study skills. Students will work on academic and personal goals, take field trips, and have college guest speakers in the classroom.
