I will be teaching my first class this year and I am so excited to make a difference! I will be teaching 7th grade Language Arts and History at a Charter School in a very low socioeconomic area. This charter school organization only includes inner city schools and I cannot wait to get their reading levels up! I need this document camera to cut the cost of using paper for worksheets, present visuals (visuals are very important for English Language Learners), direct instruction and to keep me from turning my back to the students. Through the document camera I can do everything that could be done on the board, but I will be able to keep an eye on ALL of my 61 students (2 sections). I believe classroom management is the key to a well run classroom and this Elmo-Document Camera will help my students succeed with their academics and it will help me keep the students on task and motivated.
