Our public middle school is the most diverse in the city and our classroom is no exception. My students all share a strong bond though: a real desire to learn, ask questions, debate, and explore. They thrive when given the opportunity to try their own experiments, collect data, and explain their results. Some of my students will go on to become scientists and mathematicians and all of my students will go on to become thoughtful, scientifically literate citizens who understand how to interpret and explain evidence to support their results.
