Welcome to Ms. Pearce's class! I am a public high school teacher in rural North Carolina. In addition to sophomore English, I will be teaching a class called Honors Ethics and Leadership. The goal of the class is to teach student the character traits of leadership to help them be strong leaders in their communities, schools, and homes. Students develop skills which help them organize, serve, and develop projects that have a deep impact in their lives. One of the most effective ways to reinforce these skills is by hands-on/experiential learning. The hands-on lessons create a more engaging, and therefore more effective, learning environment. Things tend to stick better when students are engaged. I hope you will consider helping me fund this project as I want to make this class memorable and meaningful in our students' lives. Thank you!
