My second grade students will continue their distance learning at home without compromising their intimate personal connection with their teacher, peers, and their second grade curriculum. LEARNING IN THE TIME OF CORONA has tested my second grade students' resilience, resourcefulness, and adaptability. The same striving spirit that drove their families' immigrant dreams now fuels an enduring commitment to bridge the digital divide, overcome language barriers, and rise above economic hardship. I marvel everyday at my students' persistence and fierce dedication to mastering computer skills and use these to practice, learn, and interact in meaningful ways with one another and with me, their teacher. My virtual classroom is curated to reflect sound pedagogy, a dynamic multi-sensory experience, and clearly visible models, operations, and instructions.
