Some of my students last year came to school hungry. Getting fed was a daily struggle. As a teacher, I refuse to ask parents who are already struggling to put food on the table or make ends meet to buy school supplies. I am hoping there are enough people out there who believe in the power of education and are willing to help some students have what they need to become successful first graders.
My extraordinary students need basic school supplies. We need pencils, erasers, markers, crayons, colored pencils, glue sticks, and paper for our Writer's Workshop lessons. We have one to one whiteboards in class and we need dry erase markers. We mostly use these during our Everyday Math lessons. All of these supplies allows us to have what we need and we can express our creativity at the same time and what can be more fun than that? I don't want these kids to worry about what they don't have. I want them to have what they need and just focus on having fun and becoming kind, enthusiastic, and hardworking scholars. Your donation will help get them there. These supplies would set these first graders up for the whole 2018-2019 school year and we would be so grateful. Thanks for checking us out!
