My Pre-K students will perform in our annual Cinco de Mayo Program. For many of my students this will be their very first time performing on stage, and they are very excited about this performance!
The Cinco de Mayo Program exposes our students to learning about another culture . These costumes will bring our program to life! My students will get the chance to not just perform, but to wear the attire similar to what is actually worn during the Cinco de Mayo celebration in the country of Mexico! The boy students in my class will will Mexican Ponchos and Sombrero Hats to represent the attire that males would wear from the Hispanic culture. The girl students will floral headbands and Tehuacan Blouses to represent what the young girls would wear during the Cinco de Mayo celebration. I want to bring this celebration to life during our performance. The outfits that have been described will give my students the confidence to dance , sing, and educate the students about the Cinco de Mayo Celebration as they witness this performance!
