It is my vision to keep the ARTS in English Language ARTS. Students will use the supplies that you donate to create work for ELA focused projects. The markers, crayons, construction paper, colored paper, highlighters, pencils, scissors and sharpies will be used to create biography masks, anchor charts, interactive notebooks, character analysis cutouts, brochures, homemade books and color coded revision writing. The pencil sharpener will be used for the upkeep of the pencils. The microphones and converters will better assist students while they work on their Read 180 software program. They will also be used for projects where students can incorporate technology in power point presentations. The dry erase boards and expos will be used for fun formative assessments. Since our school is underfunded it is difficult to obtain the needed supplies to express themselves creatively through projects throughout the school year. Having bulk supplies will definitely keep students working throughout the year. Through these projects, my students understand the importance of ART in the English Language Arts curriculum.
