My students need these leveled texts to practice reading every day within our classroom. The books can and will be used during silent reading time, literacy center time with buddies, and guided reading groups with me. The books will give us specific tools to practice comprehension and decoding strategies that we are learning throughout the year. I will be able to help students decide which of the books will best support their learning. They will also help build my classroom library. Many of the books in my library are not leveled, and these books will help guide students as they are choosing "good fit" books for their own book boxes.
