I teach children who have autism and other different abilities, in Houston, Texas. My students are as young as 6 and go through 5th grade. My students have different needs than students in the general education setting. These needs make it difficult for then to be successful in the general education setting, but I do all I can to find ways for them to be successful. Sometimes that means a different way to communicate (some of my students are non-verbal), different ways to sit in class, or small chunks of time in the general education setting and the rest in my classroom. My students are loving and lovable and I do everything in my power to show just how smart, kind and loving they can be. My students love to learn and I plan on doing all I can to keep it that way.
