Hi! Thanks for your interest in supporting my students! I teach 9th-12th grade Digital Literacy and Computer Science in a public urban high school. 100% of our students are immigrant students new to the US and learning English. I have enormous respect for these intelligent, creative, and resilient young people and value my time spent with them in my STEAM-based classroom.
My priority is to ensure a classroom atmosphere that makes students feel comfortable, respected, challenged, and loved. They take ownership of the space and their learning and connect it to real world experiences that match their individual passions. I strongly believe that learning is connected to emotion. It is my job as teacher to foster the joy of learning in each student so they may treat the classroom as a safe space where they can shoot high without a fear of failure.
