Our music program is requesting enough guitars so that every child has the opportunity to access a guitar. Through group work and a classroom designed where students learn at their own pace, my students are learning how to play guitar as a collaborative effort. Together we are tackling how to read music, compose and improvise, learn various musical concepts and express themselves through guitars. In addition, we a tackling and experiencing the music of today as well as the past by playing excerpts. We plan to use the guitars every day and build a community of young musicians who are able to express themselves and influence their peers others through the performing arts. This project will positively affect all of 850 our students.
About my class
