I teach Read180, Freshman English, and 12th grade AP Literature. This means I teach everyone from advanced students who are reading and writing at the college level to students who are still working at mastering the skills of reading comprehension. Teaching this wide array of classes means my classroom needs to be equipped with a variety of books that span all reading levels. From novels that are included in the curriculum of college English courses across the country to books for beginning readers, the books I need and the students I teach cannot be sorted into one category. What they do all have in common, though, is the need for access to good books. I want my classroom to be a place where all of my students can find a book they can connect with.
