At Westhill HS I teach both the highest of performing of readers and writers and struggling young minds fighting against the odds to find academic success. I teach all levels of students, advise the independent school newspaper, and run the mountain bike club at the school. My classroom is a place of respite, a place of learning on students' own terms, a place of inquiry and artful and holistic approaches to life and learning. I am in love with learning more about the world and how we all get though life. My classroom is rooted in that context: inquiry based around the five big questions: Why are we here? How do we know what we know? What is right and wrong? What is art and how does it recharge our souls?
