Beulah Shoesmith Elementary School students come from the Hyde Park and Kenwood neighborhoods of Chicago. Students have the opportunity to grow as musicians in Music class from Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. They also have the opportunity to join our after-school rock band, Electric Swarm. As a neighborhood school, our music program relies heavily on donations for instruments and supplies. Without donations, we don't have instruments. Your donation will give my students the opportunity to explore diverse musical genres, grow their creativity, and deepen their collaboration skills. With your help, our music classes at Shoesmith can blossom into a strong program where students can explore their musical interests and build their musicianship all while expressing themselves and their unique identities.
