Our rural, low-income school on the Gulf Coast will impress any visitor. The students are respectful, caring, and eager to learn. For the past six years, we have been moving to incorporate math, science, technology, and engineering into our daily lessons. The obvious growth in STEM knowledge and understanding among our student population is incredible. I want to take our progress one step further. As the PACE classroom teacher, I work with students identified as gifted and talented. These boys and girls always want to know more. Have you ever seen the Apple commercial titled "The Crazy Ones?". Well, I have a classroom full of them. These children are our future microbiologists, humanitarians, inventors, and teachers. If we inspire them to achieve to their highest potential, then they will pass that desire on as they enter adulthood.

About my class
