Since we do not have books, we create interactive notebooks. We create these by cutting and gluing information into our notebooks. Some of my students have a hard time with the ancient scissors that we have and we have recently run out of glue sticks and only have one glue stick per table of 4 students.
My students are currently lacking tools that they need to succeed. Students will also benefit from fidget friends to help keep them in their seat and concentrated on the task at hand. Having a classroom aquarium will help students learn the responsibility of caring for a live animal as well as the science behind the animals.
