I teach the Academically and Intellectually Gifted (AIG) students within my elementary school. They are bright and creative students in Kindergarten through fifth grade. Each day I am challenged to meet their individual needs and inquisitive minds. They push me as a teacher and I love every second of it! My students come to my class to work on exciting project based learning units that build on the Standard Course of Study and County AIG Curriculum. We focus on creativity, critical-thinking skills, communication and collaborative activities. Our school is considered a rural community school where we work extremely hard to expose our students to all of the academics and resources other schools have readily available.
